Danxu Zhang

PhD Student, Research Assistant

Electrical and Computer Engineering

I received my Bachelor of Science in Automation at Harbin Institute of Technology in China in 2013, and came to UConn to pursue a doctoral degree after that. Currently I am a PhD student at Electrical & Computer Engineering department. With the rapid economic development of the world, the demand for energy is growing fast. Managing and reducing energy consumption can save money and help in mitigating climate change. Therefore, I decided to explore the field of energy management. Now my research focuses on chiller plant optimization. I hope my knowledge and experience will allow me to apply my problem solving and programming skills to tackle on real word challenges.
