The Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering at the University of Connecticut is an innovative research and teaching environment dedicated to the science and technology of complex systems. Our mission is to to produce, disseminate and commercialize new science and technology in the field of cyber-physical systems engineering, through transformative research, education, and workforce development. Our unique, model-based approach to systems engineering aligns converging technological revolutions while creating an exciting new paradigm for interdisciplinary engineering education, research and outreach to industry. The business model of the IASE addresses the needs for:
- research and educational road-mapping
- coordination and homogenization of its educational and training programs
- outreach activities and large-scale federally funded efforts
