Song Han
Assistant Professor
Computer Science and Engineering
Dr. Song Han received the B.S. degree from Nanjing University, P. R. China in 2003, the M.Phil. degree from the City University of Hong Kong in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012, all in Computer Science. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Connecticut. His research interests include cyber-physical systems, real-time and embedded systems, wireless networks and mobile computing, and real-time machine learning. Dr. Han received the Best Paper Award in IEEE Real-Time System Symposium (RTSS) in 2013, the Best Paper Award in IEEE international Conference on Industrial Internet (ICII) in 2018, the Best Paper Award Nomination in IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium (RTAS) in 2011 and the Best Paper Award Nomination in the International Conference on Embedded Software in 2018. Dr. Han also received the UConn research excellence award in 2015. His research is currently supported by NSF, US DoT, NASA, UConn, UConn Health Center, and many industrial companies, including Emerson, Texas Instruments and Microsoft Research. Dr. Han is the member of IEEE and ACM, and an Associate Editor of ACM Transactions on Cyber-Physical Systems (TCPS).
